2016 was an incredibly successful year for us at Elephant Digital.
We have significantly expanded our team, surpassed our financial expectations and have delivered some fantastic projects for our clients.
Having settled into our new office at Liverpool Science Park, we’re already starting to outgrow it as our team has gone from of 9 to 14. We’ve got plans to grow our team even further this year, so watch this space for updates on new roles coming up in 2017.
We are also delighted to report a year-on-year growth in revenue of 163% which has allowed us to expand our service offering, and focus on delivering more value for our customers.
Our growth has been powered by new and exciting projects from some great new clients. You can find out more about them in our case studies section, but here are three that stood out for us in 2016:
In early 2016 we were delighted to win the Anwyl Group project. They wanted to establish themselves as a larger and more regional player in the building and construction industry, moving them forward from their roots in North Wales.
We designed and developed a suite of new website platforms working with all of Anwyl’s four divisions: Homes, Construction, Group and Land. In addition, we created a new customer portal, designed to enhance the customer experience and retain new customers in the sales process.
We went on to win the management of Anwyl’s digital marketing, a significant win for Elephant and our largest contract at that point.
By relaunching their web platforms and driving new traffic via a substantial digital marketing campaign, we have increased house purchase leads by 500% (year-on-year). As a result the digital campaign itself has generated a 1000% return on investment in the 12 months we have been working with them.
This has been one our most challenging and rewarding projects to date. We look forward to continuing our work with Anwyl and their team in 2017.
Sci-Tech Daresbury is one of two internationally recognised science and innovation parks in the UK.
Langtree, acting as the managing partner, approached us with a simple objective: to redevelop their website platforms to better present the values of the park to the widest possible international audience.
In response, our plan was also simple: redesign and rebuild their corporate website to the latest web design and coding standards to position the park as a leading player in the UK science park sector.
Alongside the main website, we also redeveloped their NewsHub business networking portal. Now renamed Network Hub, the platform encourages a collaboration between local businesses via regular networking events, hosted on the campus. The new platform we developed allowed for advanced networking functionality and more engaging user experience.
The final element of the project was the creation of a brand new platform for tenants. TenantHub provides a secure portal area for tenants based at the park to access key information, book meeting rooms and collaborate with other tenants.
The results and feedback from users across all three platforms has been incredibly positive since the launch in late 2016. As always though, we are not resting on our laurels, and a 2nd phase of development is planned as we continue to develop the platforms to ensure it delivers a fantastic user experience.
The North West Fashion Festival is the North’s answer to London Fashion Week. For the third year running, local talent from the fashion and beauty industry showcased their work alongside an array of national and international celebrities and musical acts.
Organised by the incredibly talented Lauren Green from Chic PR, the North West Fashion Festival was an opportunity we could not pass up. Working in collaboration with some amazing local creatives such as photographers Sane Seven, we created a striking new brand and website designed to put Liverpool on the map as a key fashion destination outside of London.
We were thrilled to be involved, and by all measurements the event was a tremendous success. Attracting over 3000 paying customers is a huge accomplishment and we extend our congratulations to Lauren and her team.
We look forward to being a part of the North West Fashion Festival in when it returns 2017.
Statistics say that 92% of startups fail within the first 3 years, so entering our fourth year of trading feels like an important milestone for Elephant as we continue our mission to ‘make an impact’ on the world of marketing and design.
We look forward to welcoming new friends to the herd in 2017, and challenging ourselves to keep innovating, keep growing and keep delivering great work for our clients.
From everyone at Elephant Digital we wish you a very happy new year!
