Anwyl Homes is a family-owned house builder that has been constructing homes across the North West for over 80 years. Their thoughtful approach to creating high quality properties has made them an award-winning company, with a wealth of knowledge and experience within their sector.

The Brief

Anwyl were expanding their homes division and needed a new website to provide a more intuitive user experience and to generate more enquiries for their development.

The core objectives of this project were as follows:

  • Increase the number of sales enquiries and the overall enquiry rate
  • Reduce bounce rate across the site by optimising the page experience
  • Provide a new intuitive search facility to create a faster path-to-conversion
  • Showcase all current and future Anwyl developments and home types

Website wireframes

Discovery Phase

We created a series of customer personas each representing a specific customer type. The personas helped to define potential frustrations for each customer when buying a new home.

The personas make sure we are designing the new website with the real people in mind. We can also measure the success of the project by how user-friendly customers find the new website.

New website design

Design Phase

Wireframes are a vital part of the design phase. Wireframes act as a set of blueprints for the new website before we add in subjective elements like colour and imagery. Wireframes allow for multiple rounds of review and feedback before designing the final full-colour templates.

We built a slick, fully-responsive website for Anwyl Homes that reflected their brand values and brought their personality to the fore with a softer design and new people-focused imagery.

The new website has an intuitive navigation and search function, making for a smooth user experience. We highlighted the key calls-to-action to prompt customer enquiries.

Website Build (WordPress)

We created a fully-responsive website that embodied the values of the business and directly impacted their wider strategic goals. The new design focused on presenting the key selling points of the park and prompted user towards the call-to-action buttons and forms.

The website was built using the latest version of PHP, HTML and CSS and is powered by the WordPress content management system. WordPress allows Anwyl web administrators to fully manage the new platform independently and with complete flexibility.

Core functionality of the platform was supported by custom development to enable advance features and functionality.

The MyAnwyl portal

My Anwyl - Customer Portal

The MyAnwyl customer portal was launched shortly after the main website in a 2nd phase of work, to allow users to register their interest in a specific development or property type.

The platform also included a step-by-step tutorial on how users can get the most benefit from the new website and the MyAnwyl portal.

The platform was built on the WordPress content management and was created to enable secure registration/login functionality for users. New customers are stored in a central database and data is shared with Anwyl’s in-house sales CRM system.

Customer data can be segmented on the platform and extracted to be used as part of their digital marketing campaign.
