What is Pay-Per-Click (PPC)?

In the digital marketing world pay-per-click or PPC is one of the most powerful and effective forms of online paid. Taking Google as our example, the search results page has 2 main sections. The paid search listings (PPC) are usually found at the top and bottom of the search engine results page (SERPs). These adverts are identified with a small square box which reads ‘Ad’. The organic (sometimes referred to as natural) listings are sandwiched in between in the centre section. These organic listings can be improved with an effective SEO or content marketing campaign.

What budget will I need?

We usually recommend exploring the viability of a PPC campaign as the first step in developing a wider digital marketing strategy. Using advertising platforms such as Google Adwords and Bing Ads, the top spending companies in the UK commit upwards of £10M per year of advertising spend to promote their products and services.

A basic campaign can be launched from as little as as £500 per month (+ management fee), subject to the market you operate in and level of competition. Completing keyword research is the first step in building a PPC campaign and we recommend using the Adwords Keyword Planner tool by Google to get you thinking about base-line costs.

Campaign Management

Your campaign will be managed by Kelly Baker, our Paid Media Manager, as a single point of contact. As a seasoned PPC and Paid Social expert, Kelly will manage our relationship with you, as well as our internal team to deliver your paid search campaign.

During the planning phase Kelly will create a detailed campaign plan with clear milestones and actions for all parties to review and agree prior to commencement. Kelly will conduct monthly and quarterly campaign update meetings to ensure strong communication is maintained.

We use a variety of campaign management tools to deliver your social media campaign, including platforms such as Google Adwords, Bings Ads, Basecamp, Google Analytics and Google Docs. Clients will be provided access to required tools at the outset of the project.
